Registration for Rec Travel is OPEN!
Our Spring 2025 Schedule:
- Travel Lacrosse seasons will begin practices the week March 10th, 2025
- Games begin Saturday, March 15
- Spring Break from Saturday, April 12 through Sunday, April 20 (Easter)
- No Games - Memorial Day Weekend - May 24/25
- Saturday, May 31 will be Make-Up/ Optional Play Day and Team End of Season Events.
- Our Travel and Allstar teams will be playing in the historic LaxSplash Tournament on 5/31 and 6/1, so they will be making their own memories that weekend.
About Kelly Post Lacrosse Travel Team Program- Spring 2025
For most recreational lacrosse players, the In-House experience wraps up after third grade. The next step for these athletes is the Travel Team program, which offers an exciting opportunity to compete at a higher level.
This spring, Kelly Post will field Travel teams across several divisions, providing players with a chance to join a more competitive environment. Our Tyker (2nd and 3rd Graders), Lightning (4th and 5th graders) and Mids (6th and 7th graders) will compete against other local Travel teams in pursuit of playoff spots and, ultimately, a championship. All teams play in the MYLA League, offering a more intense level of play than the In-House program.
Players can expect two practices per week, with games held on weekday evenings or weekends. Practices will begin in early March, with the season running through late May. Some Travel teams may also participate in a postseason tournament in early June.
The Travel program is ideal for players who are passionate about lacrosse but do not want to commit year-round.
We offer Rec travel for:
Tyker Travel – 2nd or 3rd grade
- Designed for players interested in playing at the Club level in the near future.
- One weekly practice, typically early Friday evening.
- One game against another local recreational council team.
- Players must register for Tyker and then select Add-On program.
Lightning - 4th or 5th grade
- Full equipment is required.
Each player receives an upgraded sublimated uniform.- Automated processing and payment of your son’s USA Lacrosse membership ($35 value).
- In-season practices at Meadowood Regional Park twice weekly.
- Games against local recreational council teams.
- Potential participation in LaxSplash tournament in June.
Mids - 6th or 7th grade
- Full equipment is required.
- Each player receives an upgraded sublimated uniform.
