Rec Travel

For most Recreational programs, In-House ends after third grade.  The next step on the recreational track is the Travel Team program.  Kelly Post will offer one or more Travel teams at the following divisions this Spring.  The Lightning and Mids teams compete against other local Travel teams and vie for a playoff spot and ultimately for a championship.  Lightning players are typically in 4th and 5th grades, while Mids players are typically in 6th and 7th grades.  Each of the Travel Teams compete in the MYLA Leagues.  Players should expect 2 practices per week and games can be on weekday evenings or weekends.  Teams will begin practices and late February, and the season runs through late May.  Some travel teams may participate in a post season tournament in early June.

A higher level of competition than in-house, with participation in the MYLA Lacrosse League.

A good choice for players who love lacrosse but don’t want to play all year round.

Teams will be formed based on evaluations, and will compete against other rec councils throughout the region.

We offer Rec travel for two age groups:

• Lightning Travel (DOB 9/1/2012 - 8/31/2014)
• Mids Travel (DOB 9/1/2010 - 8/31/2012)
