Kelly Post Girls' Lacrosse | Club Program

Kelly Post girls' lacrosse is excited to announce our new club offering starting in the 2024-25 season.

Mission
Our mission is to provide the community with access to a player-first, competitive lacrosse offering that maximizes each player’s potential on and off the field.

Why Kelly Post?
We will build a competitive lacrosse offering that prioritizes player development, fun and social/team development. We aim to be known as an elite girls’ lacrosse talent developer in the Baltimore metro area.

We’ll do this by reinvesting every dollar back into each team by sourcing high-quality coaches, offering player development opportunities and more. We will also offer specialist training programs - specifically goalie and draw training. We are excited to have the resources to offer a competitive and robust player development experience.

Playing days at York College (or is that Kelly Post?)

I fell in love with lacrosse as a high school freshman. Looking for a competitive team sport, I found a local rec league that my school’s varsity coach happened to run. Coming from a single-parent household, we were unable to pay for travel club sports growing up. I nurtured my skills and IQ at rec clinics and on the school team. My coach filmed my games and sent highlight videos to colleges for me. The rest is history. I played 4 years at York College (PA) and was honored to serve as a captain for two of them. I began coaching club lacrosse my junior year in college and decided that coaching was my passion.

After college I took an assistant role at Marywood University, but quickly moved on to a head coaching position at Frostburg State University, where I served from late 2010-2015. After that 2015 season, I relocated to Ithaca, NY, with my eventual husband, Peter. I coached at Cortland State, Binghamton University and Wells College throughout our time in New York. During this time I founded a non-profit club program called RIDE Lacrosse. We valued aiding our families in Recruiting, Instruction, Development and Empowerment (RIDE). I am still very close with a number of these players and families today.

Upon moving to Baltimore in the summer of 2020, I decided that I would focus on my new role as a mother and explore professional opportunities that afforded me more flexibility than a college coaching position could yield at the time. My family is a lacrosse family – from my husband’s current post at Johns Hopkins to my son scooping ground balls in our backyard on a daily basis.

Kelly Post speaks to me on so many levels, which is why I am here. Now a more seasoned parent, I believe it is time to continue spreading the love and lessons of lacrosse once more. I am beyond excited to share our plans and objectives with you, and am very honored to be a part of such a wonderful organization.
