The critical piece to the Kelly Post Boys Lacrosse program are our volunteers. As America's first youth lacrosse program, our volunteers have driven our program to success since the beginning of our storied history. To learn more about our legacy, please visit our History Page.
Volunteers are needed to work in a variety of roles. No Lacrosse experience? No problem. We have a place for everyone who wants to help!
I've never played lacrosse, but I'm interested in helping to coach. Should I volunteer?
- Contrary to popular belief, people who coach our youngest athletes can be more effective without the knowledge or experience in the game of lacrosse. Our director, Coach Wendell Lee, will be directing ten coaching training sessions from October through February. Coach Lee has vast knowledge of the game of lacrosse and has shared it on a national level. He has presented at the USA Lacrosse National Convention on player skill development and the science of how our bodies support playing the game of lacrosse. Additionally, Coach Lee has presented nationally about the role of parent coaches in youth sports.
- Training is typically held on Saturday mornings. We will hold a few afternoon/evening training sessions that will include refreshments and appetizers.
