Our Director
Wendell Lee has been a dedicated teacher, coach, and researcher for most of his adult life. Working regularly with children from ages 2 through High School he has distilled the essential components of player development for many team sports. He attributes much of his coaching success to the lessons learned through the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) and the US Lacrosse Coaching Education Program (CEP).
Bringing his experience as a teacher, administrator, coach, and parent to the world of coaching our sport’s youngest players, he has continued to research and compile an impressive repertoire of drills and strategies to take the boredom out of repetition of developing superior lacrosse skills and IQ. His passion for the game and quest for knowledge has produced a remarkable physiologically based methodology for skill development with lacrosse IQ. He is a certified trainer of Coaches for US Lacrosse’s Coaching Education Program and served as the Director of Programs for US Lacrosse. His presentations at US Lacrosse’s National convention draw coaches from across the country who are interested in a better way of teaching basic skills. He has been visionary in seeing the lacrosse field as a classroom; not only for teaching the sport, but for teaching the life’s lessons that last a lifetime.
Wendell joined Kelly Post Lacrosse in 2017 and became the first-full time Director of the Boys program in 2021. Although he has been a successful coach at the HS level, Wendell sees his strength in developing core foundational skills for the youngest players.
Coach Lee is proud to watch and support players that he developed and coached in Texas participate and thrive in today’s PLL. In his words “mediocrity is not an option”.
