About Kelly Post Lacrosse
Founded in 1958, Kelly Post Lacrosse is a volunteer-driven, community-focused program dedicated to coaching boys and girls from ages four to fourteen. With a rich history rooted in service and excellence, we strive to develop young athletes both on and off the field.
Honoring a Legacy
Our program is named in honor of Ensign C. Markland Kelly, a talented goalie from Baltimore who played at Gilman School and the University of Maryland. In 1940, he left college to serve his country, becoming a U.S. Navy pilot. Ensign Kelly flew the Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat off the deck of the USS Hornet during the pivotal Battle of Midway. Tragically, on June 4, 1942, he took off but never returned. To honor his bravery and sacrifice, we proudly use the Wildcat as our symbol.
Tradition of Excellence
For decades, Kelly Post Lacrosse has produced outstanding players who compete at the highest levels of the sport. Beyond lacrosse, we instill values of leadership, teamwork, and community service, inspiring young athletes to give back and make a difference.
Join us in carrying forward this proud tradition—on the field and beyond!
